On 11 July 2011, the Rockhal Club will open its doors for Monster Magnet, one of the most legendary rock bands of the past two decades!
Not only are Monster Magnet the true heirs of seventies legends such as Black Sabbath, The Stooges, Captain Beyond and Hawkwind, but they are an enormous monster of rock history! Since 1989, these American rockers know only one watchword: the intensity of their music! Monster Magnet are a veritable ball of energy drawing its influences from music styles such as heavy metal, space rock, psychedelic rock, which turns them into a part of the stoner rock movement.
Sailing around the retro rock movement (rock’n’roll, rockabilly…), which was very popular back in the days, Monster Magnet made their mark by blowing up the world of classic rock! Provocative, cynical and optimist band leader Dave Wyndorf doesn’t set limits to his songs’ lyrics which mainly draw their inspiration from emotions, the news and the images that the world feeds us with. In 1998, Monster Magnet’s career blasted off with the song “Space Lord” from the “Power Trip” album. After this huge success, the band started touring the world with music legends such as Aerosmith, Metallica and Marilyn Manson.
Their current album « Mastermind » was released in 2010, Monster Magnet have announced that their sound is becoming even heavier and catchier. « Gods and Punks » and « 100 Million Miles » prove it. The Rockhal Club has set the date for all hard rock and powerful music fans on 11 July 2011…
