THE 12TH EDITION DJ AWARDS ANNOUNCES THE 2009
CATEGORIES AND NOMINEES

Catch the world’s best-known DJs at the 12th edition of the DJ Awards
at Pacha Ibiza on Thursday 24th September. The biggest names from across the
genres of dance music will gather to celebrate the biggest tunes, best parties
and the latest technology that has made an unforgettable season.

Attached is the full list of the 2009 categories and nominees, which can also be
accessed at www.djawards.com.

The winners in each genre are selected by public vote and the honourees who lift
the legendary “Kryptonite” trophy have satisfaction of knowing it is a tribute
from their fans. Voting is open now and runs until Monday, 10 August at
www.djawards.com. Everyone who votes is automatically entered in a
competition to win the trip of a lifetime to the DJ Awards in Ibiza – the prize
includes flights, luxury accommodation and VIP entry to the DJ Awards.

The DJ Awards 2009 is focused on discovering new talent so we are inviting the
public to nominate their favourite DJ in the Ibiza Resident DJ and Dance Nation
of the Year (Russia) categories – these nominations will be counted as votes.
For more information go to www.djawards.com.

The DJ Awards have become an end of season tradition in Ibiza, uniting DJs
who come to celebrate the music they love. Previous winners who’ve graced the
Pacha stage include Armin Van Buuren, Erick Morillo, Sven Vath, Tiësto, Paul
Oakenfold, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox and Cristian
Varela.

The awards ceremony will include special guest performances and the party
continues with F**k Me I’m Famous.

Every year the DJ Awards has a theme. This year’s is Dreams – which help us
realise our desires and turn them into reality.

The Dreams theme has inspired the artwork of the 12th Edition DJ Awards CD
compilation featuring the best tracks of the 2009 season in their original
versions in an unmixed, DJ-friendly format.
