Damien J. Carter releases his new track “One” on Cr2, and it’s straight up house music just the way we like it! Using a piano riff, which could indeed be heard in any club on the white isle, Damien certainly doesn’t disappoint with this “one”!
Damien started DJing at the age of 14 – first he was into Hip Hop, then he turned to House Music, but always, as he mentions, he played vinyl with soul. After building up a loyal fan-crowd in local clubs, people began to take notice, this resulted in his first hit single ‘Holding On’, which was signed to Credence. A whirlwind of success soon followed as bookings began coming in from Middle & South America, China, The Middle East and Russia. Since then, music stars like Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jonathan Ulysses, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Silicone Soul, RnB Diva Mya, Boy George and UK#1 artist Daniel Bedingfield have all been asking for a studio session with Damien – even Hollywood ordered one of his demanded remixes (Scary Movie)..
To think that Damiens success is surprising is certainly not right. Whoever has seen him live on stage, which can only be recommended- recognizes that this guy definitely knows what he’s doing. Currently he DJs at the most renowned clubs, the biggest events, open airs & festivals, including the Comet Music Award (Germany), where pop stars like Ronan Keating and Ashanti danced to Damiens thrilling 4-hour live-sets.
‘One’ encompasses traditional house sounds reminiscent of the old days of Ibiza, with a surprisingly euphoric twist mid point. Damien uses melodic key changes to build the track gradually and allow for momentum to gain, culminating in a memorable breakdown.
