Armada Music starts 2010 with new multi-media website

Amsterdam, January 20th 2010 – Today, Dutch record company Armada Music launched its new website. With an organized and effective design, renewed functions and a clearer set-up of all Armada releases and news, the new armadamusic.com keeps up with the latest features multi-media has to offer. By launching this new website, Armada Music shows that the use of new media plays an important role in their music sales.

Maykel Piron, managing director Armada Music: »The online world has changed a lot within a very short time, making me think about only featuring our contact info and link to our YouTube channel on the website. I was fed up with it. 99 % of the current websites have too much of a 90’s feel. Luckily, we participate in Dancefoundation, which advised us to launch a website in which the well known social networking sites and YouTube are integrated. I’m very pleased with the result. »

The Armada Music website, designed by Dancefoundation, now contains the full music-catalogue, which covers more than 2100 releases. Together, they’re worth over 16.000 different tracks and remixes, all available to listen in a special web-player and linking to their download on several download shops . Every page is linked to each other either through the related artist, news or music video on YouTube.

With 26 imprints and more than 200 artists, Armada Music is one of the biggest dance labels in the global dance music market. Shortly after celebrating their 6 birthday, Armada Music won the award for ‘Best Global Dance Label’ at the International Dance Music Awards in March 2009. The Armada YouTube channel, with a number 17 position in the list of most viewed music channels, more than 160 million views and over 100.000 subscribers, is the most viewed European dance channel on the net.
